Electronic Courts In India

There is no second opinion that establishment of electronic courts in India is need of the hour. Technology can bring diverse advantages to the ailing judicial system of India. However, establishment of e-courts in India require techno legal expertise that is presently missing in India.

For instance, the exclusive techno legal e-courts consultancy and training centre of India is managed by Perry4Law and PTLB. Unfortunately, so far neither Perry4Law nor PTLB is extending their domain specific and techno legal expertise to Indian e-court project.

Naturally, e-courts project of India has failed to become a success and till now all India has been able to do is computerisation of few functions of traditional courts.

Similarly, on the front of online dispute resolution (ODR) as well India is lagging far behind than its international counterparts.

It is high time for Indian government to establish e-courts in India as soon as possible. Mere computerisation of few aspects would not serve the purpose as has been made clear by the increasing backlog of cases in India.

Either we can keep on fooling ourselves by announcing that we have e-courts in India or we must engage techno legal experts like Perry4Law and PTLB to do the actual ground work in this regard.

Cyber Security In India

Recently cyber security for power energy and utilities in India was under consideration. In fact, power grids cyber security in India and its challenges has emerged as special area of concern for India. We have to stress upon defending our power and critical infrastructures keeping in mind the cyber security issues and challenges in India.

According to experts, there are numerous cyber security challenges in India that are still unredressed. Further, India's cyber security challenges are unique to Indian conditions and they require local treatment and solutions. Cyber security issues in India require a dedicated effort on the part of Indian stakeholders. Even the cyber security firms, companies and consultants in India must be pro active.

Finally, cyber security skills and capabilities development in India must be ensured. We have to develop more online cyber security courses in India on the lines suggested by PTLB.

PTLB e-learning platform is the exclusive techno legal online education, training and skills development initiative of India. It is helping in cyber security skills development in India and world wide. Let us hope that Indian government would seek more active and direct collaboration with techno legal leaders like Perry4Law and PTLB to strengthen cyber security of India.

Google Is Engaging In Illegal Blogs Censorship In India

Google has been filtering and censoring blogs in India for long. As per the latest post of the dedicated blog analysing censorship and blocking by Google in India, Google has once again censored and demoted more blogs in India. Not only blogs but even news articles have been frequently censored by Google in India.

This exercise of Google is not only against its own motto of do not be evil but is also against civil liberties like speech and expression. Further, there is a complete lack of transparency in Google’s actions.

Clearly, commercial interests and personal agenda have found favour with Google and it is manipulating with search results and blogs placement in its search engine.

According to the blog post, the following websites have been demoted and subjected to manual action penalty by Google without any reason and justification:

(1) Cyber Forensics In India

(2) Cyber Security In India

(3) E-Discovery Services In India

(4) E-Commerce Laws And Regulations In India

(5) Perry4Law Techno Legal Base (PTLB)

(6) Corporate Laws In India

(7) Techno Legal Online Dispute Resolution Services

Even the resource titled International ICT Policies and Strategies seems to have been censored by Google.

It is high time to ask Google to clarify its censorship stand in India.
